ELsa Support at ST. Alban's

At St. Alban’s, we know that emotional wellbeing is just as important as academic learning. That’s why we offer ELSA (Emotional Literacy Support Assistant) support, a special program designed to help children understand and manage their emotions, build confidence, and develop positive relationships.
ELSA sessions provide a safe and supportive space where children can talk about their feelings and learn valuable skills such as:
✔ Managing worries and anxiety
✔ Building self-esteem and resilience
✔ Developing social skills and friendships
✔ Understanding and expressing emotions
Meet Mrs. Alford – Our ELSA Teacher 🦋
Our wonderful ELSA teacher, Mrs. Alford, is here to support children who may need a little extra help with their emotional wellbeing. She works closely with pupils in one-to-one and small group sessions, using fun and creative activities like storytelling, art, and relaxation techniques to help children feel happier and more confident.
At St. Alban’s, we believe that happy children learn best, and our ELSA support plays a key role in ensuring that every child feels valued, understood, and supported. 💖🌈
