Our Faith in Action - Blog

Faith in ation quote

Showing our Faith in Action is important it us at St Alban's Catholic Primary School because it helps us live out the Gospel values in our daily lives. By combining faith with service, kindness, and respect for others, children develop a deeper understanding of their beliefs while building a strong moral foundation. It teaches them to embody Christ's love through actions, fostering a sense of compassion, community, and responsibility that aligns with Catholic teachings. This holistic approach nurtures both spiritual growth and character development.

A huge thank you to all the children and families who have taken part in our Easter Garden Competition! We have been amazed by the creativity, effort, and thoughtfulness that have gone into each entry. It has been wonderful to see such beautiful representations of the Easter story.

The competition has been a fantastic way for our school community to reflect on the true meaning of Easter, and we appreciate the time and dedication that have gone into making each garden so special.

The winners of the competition will be announced after the Easter holidays, so stay tuned! In the meantime, we encourage everyone to take a moment to appreciate the wonderful work on display.

Jubilee Display - Prayers for the Jubilee Year March 2025

Yesterday, our school community came together for the Big Lent Walk, and we are thrilled to share that collectively, we walked an incredible 200km! A huge well done to all our pupils and staff who took part in this wonderful effort.

So far, we have raised £165 towards our £200 target, and we are so grateful to everyone who has donated. We are now just £35 away from our goal, and we would love to reach it! If every family is able to donate just £2, we can easily achieve this together.

Thank you to all who have supported this important cause so far. If you would still like to contribute, you can scan the QR code or click the following link to donate: https://schools.walk.cafod.org.uk/fundraising/st-albans-catholic-primary-school-just-giving-page

Let’s keep the momentum going and reach our target together!

We are excited to share a special new display in our school, marking the Jubilee Year of Hope. Every year group, from Reception to Year 6, has contributed heartfelt prayers, reflecting their hopes and intentions for the year ahead.

This beautiful collection of prayers is a testament to our faith in action, bringing our school community together in reflection and unity. We invite everyone to take a moment to read and be inspired by the words of our children as we journey through this special year of faith and hope.

Wearing bright colors and coming together for a special liturgy to launch the Jubilee Year, Pilgrims of Hope, is a vibrant demonstration of faith. The bright colors symbolize joy and unity, reflecting the school’s shared commitment to walking together in hope and faith. The liturgy served us as a moment of collective prayer, gratitude, and reflection, encouraging us all to live out the values of compassion, kindness, and service in our daily lives. By engaging the entire school community in this celebration, the event inspires everyone to embrace their role as “pilgrims of hope,” fostering a sense of purpose and solidarity rooted in faith.

The St. Alban's School Choir added a joyful and festive touch to the St. Alban's Mother and Toddler Christmas Party with their beautiful performance of Christmas songs. Their music filled the space with warmth and cheer, creating a welcoming atmosphere for families and children. This act of sharing their talents was a true example of faith in action, as it brought the community together to celebrate the season of giving and goodwill. Choir at Bazzar

St Alban's school choir at the Church Bazaar - Nov 2024

Thank you so much to all of the families who contributed to our Harvest collection. We managed to get together a huge collection and we’re sure the food bank will be extremely grateful for the donation.

Year 6 put together a fantastic assembly about the importance of harvest festival and the impact it has. It was a very informative and reflective assembly that was enjoyed by all - well done Year 6!

The St. Alban's School Choir brought the spirit of Christmas alive at the St. Alban's Church Bazaar through their uplifting performance of traditional and contemporary carols. Their music resonated deeply with the themes of faith, joy, and community, reminding attendees of the season's message of hope and goodwill. The choir’s performance was more than just entertainment—it reflected faith in action, as the event supported community outreach initiatives and fostered togetherness among parishioners and visitors. By sharing their talents, the students not only celebrated the season but also demonstrated the power of faith to inspire and unite the community in acts of kindness and generosity.
